Our commitment
Waderly is meant to be the weather app for fishing — useful to everyone who fishes, however they browse. We aim for the WCAG 2.1 AA standard as a baseline and treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix, not extras.
What we build for
Pages use semantic HTML and real headings so screen readers can navigate them. Interactive controls are reachable by keyboard and labeled. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology. We check color contrast against the AA threshold and don't rely on color alone to convey a reading.
The map
The heart of Waderly is a map, which is inherently visual. Everywhere conditions appear on the map — flow, gauge height, water temperature, weather, and the fishability read — the same numbers are also published as text on each gauge and state page. If the map is hard for you to use, browse from Coverage to reach the same data without it.
Known gaps
We're a small team and not perfectly compliant yet — some map interactions and a few older components still need work. If something blocks you, telling us moves it up the list.
