Our commitment
Waderly is meant to be the weather app for fishing — useful to everyone who fishes, however they browse. We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs to fix.
What we build for
Pages use semantic HTML and real headings so screen readers can navigate them. Interactive controls are reachable by keyboard, clearly labeled, and show a visible focus outline; dialogs move focus in, keep it inside while open, and return it when closed. Meaningful images carry text alternatives and decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology. We consider color contrast, never rely on color alone to convey a reading, and honor your system's reduced-motion setting. Automated accessibility checks run against our pages to catch regressions.
The map
The heart of Waderly is a map, which is inherently visual. Everywhere conditions appear on the map — flow, gauge height, water temperature, weather, and the fishability read — the same numbers are also published as text on each gauge and state page. If the map is hard for you to use, browse from Coverage to reach the same data without it.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. We keep testing and improving, and we prioritize fixes as we find them or hear about them from you.
